On Tuesday 20^th September 2022 we will be running our UK Technology Careers Event, our second event of the autumn season!

This event will take place virtually on our events platform between noon and 4.30pm BST. It will introduce students and recent graduates studying STEM subjects to technology employers in the UK. The event is perfect for attendees who identify as women or non-binary and are interested in starting a career in technology.

This inspiring event will allow attendees to virtually network with employers via webchat, voice and video call, watch live presentations, take part in a panel session and apply for exciting roles and opportunities.

Event Agenda

These are provisional times and may be subject to change –

Noon – Event begins in the ‘Live Presentations’ area, with a welcome talk from STEM Women and our event sponsor TBC.

12.20pm – Panel discussion with women working in technology. Ask questions and gain a fascinating first-hand insight from inspiring panellists.

12:55pm – Live networking begins and continues until the event ends. Attendees can visit company stands, network with employers and search live jobs!

1:30pm – 4.30pm – Live employer insight talks begin and run until the event ends.

4:30pm – Event ends.

Our previous events

We have run 4 technology focused events on our virtual events platform since 2020. The first event was in September 2020 which saw over 750 students and graduates sign up to network with top employers from the tech industry. Following this success, we hosted larger events in both April and September 2021, which both attracted over 900 students and 20 employers.

Finally, this year we ran one of our largest events to date with over 1,590 students signed up to network with 30 employers. This event was fantastic, with attendees hearing 12 inspiring speaker sessions, plus an inspiring welcome talk from event sponsors PwC. During the event, employers and students had 2,425 conversations, and sent 7,521 chat messages. Attendees also made 1,082 job applications throughout the day, which is one of our highest figures for a virtual event!
