Book your place at our UK Wide STEM Careers Event this October!

On Wednesday 5th October 2022, we are running our virtual UK Wide STEM Careers Event, which is set to be one of our largest online events to date.

This event will take place virtually on our events platform between noon and 4.30pm BST. It will introduce students and recent graduates from a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) related course to employers based across the UK. The event is perfect for attendees who identify as women or non-binary and are interested in starting a career in industry.

This inspiring event will allow attendees to virtually network with employers via webchat, voice, and video call, watch live presentations, take part in a panel session, and apply for exciting roles and opportunities.

Event Agenda

These are provisional times and may be subject to change –

Noon – Event begins in the ‘Live Presentations’ area, with a welcome talk from STEM Women and our event sponsor TBC.

12.20pm – Panel discussion with women working in STEM related industries. Ask questions and gain a fascinating first-hand insight from inspiring panelists.

12:55pm – Live networking begins and continues until the event ends. Attendees can visit company stands, network with employers and search live jobs!

1:30pm – 4.30pm – Live employer insight talks begin and run until the event ends.

4:30pm – Event ends.

Our previous events

In February 2022, we hosted a UK STEM Careers Event which was sponsored by MI5, MI6, and GCHQ. This event was one of our largest to date, attracting over 1,800 students and 32 employers. Attendees and employers had 2,554 conversations, sending 10,172 chat messages, and attendees made a staggering 1,141 job applications during the event! In autumn 2021, we ran online events targeted towards England and Wales, London and Scotland, which we have combined into one UK wide event for this year.

Subject and Course Breakdowns

For our general STEM events, we mainly pull students and graduates studying university courses including and related to science, mathematics, engineering, and technology. STEM Women Events

As well the UK wide STEM Careers Event, we are also running general STEM careers events for London, Ireland and the Benelux Region. Plus, we are running industry specific events for the UK including a Financial Services, Technology, and an Engineering event.
