The stats are in, and it’s official—STEM Women’s Autumn 2024 events were a huge success! Across 12 exciting locations in the UK and Europe, we saw 282 top-tier employers come together with over 3,500 passionate attendees, creating a unique space for diverse talent in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Our final event introduced the new virtual platform we will be using to connect employers to students and graduates across the UK.

Iconic Venues, Vibrant Atmosphere

This season, the STEM Women team returned to some much-loved venues, including  Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Aspire in Leeds, Bridgwater Hall in Manchester, Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, the Movenpick Hotel in Amsterdam and QEII Centre in London, where our flags were displayed in the heart of Westminster. We also made a long-anticipated comeback to Bristol’s ‘We The Curious’ after a five-year break! Plus, we expanded to new venues including the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh, Radisson Blu in Glasgow, and St. James’ Park in Newcastle, keeping the energy high and the opportunities flowing.

An Impressive Range of Employers

What made these events so impactful? The diverse line-up of 282 exhibitors, representing industries across tech innovation, ground-breaking engineering, and forward-thinking finance. From consultancies to manufacturers, attendees had the chance to meet with organisations who prioritize inclusion and innovation. Each employer brought creative, engaging stalls, offering insights into career paths and opportunities to connect one-on-one.

Next-Level Networking

In the networking spaces, we saw conversations turn into connections and aspirations into action, with each employer stall featuring branding, merchandise, and resources to help attendees explore internships, graduate roles, and placements. At the London and virtual events, we also hosted interactive panels and insight talks where industry leaders shared personal journeys, advice, and inspiration.

A Thriving Community of Talent

The turnout of over 3,500 students and graduates brought energy to every event. Attendees came from a mix of backgrounds, spanning fields including Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Business, and more. Employers praised the diversity, enthusiasm, and curiosity of the participants, with many leaving the events ready to take the next step in their careers.
