Event Review – Glasgow STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 20th October 2023

On Friday 20th October, STEM Women hosted the Glasgow STEM Women Graduate Careers Event. The event attracted 18 exhibiting employers and 260 student and graduate attendees.

Running from 12pm until 4pm, the event featured an impressive range of STEM employers including our sponsors, Raytheon UK.

260 students and graduates attended from nearby Glasgow based universities including University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow, and Glasgow Caledonian University. We also ran a free coach to bring students from the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Napier University!

Despite the stormy weather outside, the event inside was a cosy hub of networking. Attendees were able to network with employers from a wide range of STEM-related industries in our expo space, discovering exciting opportunities over complimentary refreshments.

There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the event, with students and graduates building their professional networks and exploring opportunities.

Peer to peer networking was also taking place, with attendees meeting likeminded students in the same position as themselves and forming professional relationships for the future.
