Come Along to the STEM Women Ireland Technology Graduate Careers Event

On Wednesday 24th March 2021, we are delighted to be hosting an Ireland-wide STEM Women Technology Event.

Taking place virtually, this event will attract STEM students and recent graduates who identify as female from universities across the whole of Ireland. It will give these students the opportunity to explore their passion for technology, network with potential employers, watch a range of live presentations, take part in a Q&A session, and apply to live roles.

So far, we will be welcoming VMWare, Aerlingus, Bearing Point, Optum (UHG), Qualcomm, Amazon, Telynx, Intel, Avanade, SAP and AquaQ Analytics, with many more to be announced!

Our intuitive STEM Women virtual platform allows attendees to browse company stalls, apply for live jobs, watch presentations, ask questions during a live panel session and live chat with company representatives via webchat, voice or video call. Employers exhibiting at the event can also make use of our sourcing tool, which enables companies to view active attendees, filter by course and skills, and reach out to initiate a chat!

According to the Central Statistics Office, women make up just 25% of the workforce in Ireland’s STEM industries, and 19% of workers in IT in Ireland are women.  We hope our events can help work towards a more equal future, by introducing talented young women to inspirational tech employers.

Sophie Chadwick, STEM Women Events Manager: “Having hosted a hugely successful event in Dublin in 2019, and an amazing virtual STEM event for Ireland in 2020, we are so excited to bring a technology focused event for 2021. Ireland is becoming a leader in the tech world, so this event is perfect for students and graduates who are looking to start their careers at the forefront of the technology industry.”

At STEM Women we have successfully introduced over 10,000 female students to graduate employers at events held in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands since 2018. In Autumn 2020, we hosted 10 virtual careers events, welcoming 133 exhibiting employers and 3,421 women looking to start their careers in STEM industries.

In addition to our STEM Women Technology Ireland Event, we will also be hosting a technology specific event for the UK, and a more general STEM Graduate Careers Event for the UK. In March, we are also set to host our first-ever event for STEM students based in Australia! We’re so excited to be branching out further than ever before and hope to build our STEM Women communities across the world.
