This event is targeted towards people who identify as female and are studying, or recently graduated from, a STEM related course at university.

  • Targeting students who identify as female and non-binary, but open to all regardless of gender.
  • Predicted 400 student/graduate attendees and approx. 40 exhibiting employers.
  • Perfect for people who are studying, or recently graduated from, a STEM related course at university and who are permanently eligible to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.
  • Marketed to university students in London including University College London, Imperial College London, Kings College London and Queen Mary University London.
  • Employers can share opportunities such as graduate roles, internships, graduates programmes and placements, and network with students at company stalls.

Who attends?

STEM Women events are aimed at attendees who are studying or have recently graduated from a STEM related course at university, are eligible to work without requiring a visa or sponsorship, and are looking for internships, placements or graduate careers. Courses most commonly studied by event attendees include Computer Science, Data and Mathematics, Business and Finance, Physical Sciences, Engineering, and Earth and Life Sciences.

Setting up your stand

Exhibitors have a table, chairs and can display promotional materials, and can bring a banner to fit in a 3 metre wide space. A buffet lunch is provided for all exhibitors.

Packages

he Basic Package enables you to bring up to 3 reps who will meet all the relevant attendees in person. You can upgrade to a Data package to receive the academic and contact information for everyone who signed up for the event and consented to having their information shared. The Premium Package includes 5 reps and a 150 word programme entry, and you will also be included in our post event email with a link to your chosen webpage. Speaker Sessions

Speaker, Speaker with Panel and Sponsor Packages are available at our London events. Our Speaker Packages and Sponsor Packages allow exhibitors to deliver a talk and introduce their company. Our friendly team and student ambassadors will help you to check in when you arrive at the event. Make sure to arrive as close to your ticket time as possible to avoid having to queue. Have your QR code ready to be scanned!

Who Can Attend?

STEM Women events are perfect for people who are studying, or recently graduated from, a STEM related course at university and are considering different career opportunities. Our events are aimed at students and graduates who are permanently eligible to work in the UK and who are women or non-binary, but they are inclusive events open to all.

Networking

Attendees will meet employers from a broad range of different STEM-related industries such as science, technology, software, data and analytics, pharmaceuticals, energy, engineering, construction, consultancy and financial services. A programme detailing a full list of employers will be provided at the event.

Insight Talks

Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to hear insight talks from successful role models in STEM who'll share their tips and advice. From recent graduates to CEOs to hiring managers, speakers will share inspirational and informative talks and presentations with attendees.

Refreshments

We provide free refreshments at all of our events, sometimes this includes lunch and other times lighter refreshments only, so please check your pre-event emails from us for full details. You can let us know any allergies in your ticket information. Gluten free and vegan options are always provided.

Can I bring anyone with me?

You are welcome to bring course mates, but please make sure they download their own ticket. Parents, partners, children, carers etc. are also welcome, but please notify us via email (sophiec@stemwomen.com).

All of our events are completely free of charge for attendees.
Do I need to bring anything?

You just need your Eventbrite ticket - you can have this printed out or just show us the QR code on your phone. You are welcome to bring copies of your CV if you like but this is not a requirement.
Do I need more than one ticket?

Please only request one ticket. Your ticket will be valid from the start time until the end of the event. For example a noon ticket will be eligible from noon - event end. A 1pm ticket will be eligible from 1pm - event end. Drop us an email if you have any questions!
What is the dress code?

The dress code is up to you! Most of our attendees opt for smart casual attire.
Do the companies attending offer sponsorship?

The majority of exhibitors will not be able to provide sponsorship and will require applicants to be permanently eligible to work in the UK. We would not recommend attending this event if you are seeking sponsorship.
