Mizuho Internship Insight Event – Bespoke Event with STEM Women

STEM Women were delighted to partner with Mizuho on a bespoke event. This exciting insight day took place at Mizuho’s Central London office.

STEM Women sourced the attendees on behalf of Mizuho, inviting penultimate year STEM university students to an exclusive event. The attendees all had an interest in Financial Services and had a ticket for a morning or afternoon session.

Each session began with a presentation that was delivered by Renee Henze, Early Careers Lead at Mizuho. She introduced Mizuho to all the attendees, providing an insight into the company’s core values and the different business areas that were present in the room.

The eight different business areas that were represented included Global Transactions, IT, HR, Operations, Banking, Finance, Risk and Markets. The attendees then had an opportunity to speak with representiatives from each business area. This was an ideal chance for the attendees to hear from people working within the industry, and to discover what it is really like to work in the different roles.

The two sessions attracted 63 attendees, all of whom were eligible to apply for Mizuho’s internship programme . The students had a really enjoyable day and we heard positive feedback throughout the day.
