On Wednesday 16th June, we are hosting a UK-wide graduate careers event sponsored by NFU Mutual for people who identify as female and are interested in starting their career within a STEM industry.

The event will give attendees the opportunity to hear inspiring talks from STEM employers, ask their questions during panel discussions and Q&A sessions, apply for exclusive opportunities and network live with employers.

Confirmed exhibitors so far include our sponsor NFU Mutual, Adobe, Air Liquide, Alacrity, Amazon, KPMG, LCP, London Business School, Capco, Atkins, Admiral Group, TechModal, BAE Systems, Efficio, Free Agent, Iris Software, Anglian Water, Imperial College Business School, Agilent, DarkTrace, Motorola, Kubrick Group, Assystem, PA Consulting, General Dynamics, MI5, MI6 and GCHQ, Arcadis, DWP, ESA and Virgin Media, with more to be announced.

Our virtual STEM Women events platform allows attendees to browse company stalls, apply to live roles, watch employer presentations, ask questions in a Q&A box and network with employers via webchat, voice and video call.

This year, we have already hosted 5 hugely successful events for students and recent graduates who are looking to kick start their careers in STEM. In Autumn 2020, we ran 10 virtual careers events across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, welcoming 133 exhibiting employers and over 3,400 attendees.

According to a WISE report, from 2019 to 2020 just 24% of the UK STEM workforce was made up of women. STEM Women Events strive to bridge the gender gap in STEM industries and work towards encouraging more women to choose a career in STEM.

Sophie Chadwick, STEM Women Events Manager: “We can’t wait to host our summer UK Graduate Careers Event. We have already signed up some really inspiring employers, and with many more to be announced, this event is sure to be one of our most successful yet!”

Alongside the UK Graduate Careers Event, we are also running a number of events during autumn 2021. Our events will be covering the UK, Ireland, USA and Europe, as well as industry specific events for financial services, technology and engineering.
