Meet the Speakers – UK Wide STEM Careers Event – 22nd February 2023

On Wednesday 22nd February, we are running our first virtual event of 2023, the UK Wide STEM Careers Event, sponsored by Capgemini Invent. Taking place online this event is perfect for students and graduates studying a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) related course.

Alongside our event sponsors Capgemini Invent, we have 15 exhibiting employers taking part in the event! During the day, 8 companies will also be delivering live presentations on our events platform stage, plus representatives will sit on a panel discussion.

Meet our speakers!

Event Agenda

Noon – Event begins in the ‘Live Presentations’ area, with a welcome talk from STEM Women and our event sponsor Capgemini Invent. Emma Harvey, Director, Business Technology will provide an overview of the company including their values, mission statement and share some insights on the Accelerate Programme.

12.20pm – Panel discussion with women working in STEM. Ask questions and gain a fascinating first hand insight from our inspiring panelists. Includes Marlene Osei-Asante from Capgemini Invent, Lucy Chieffo from DVLA, Danielle Hamel from Technip Energies and Ruchika Kogimtzis from Waters.

12:55pm – Live networking begins and continues until the event ends at 4:30pm. Attendees can visit company stands, network with employers 1-1 and search and apply to live jobs and internships.

1:30pm – Live employer insight talk with a representative from MI5, MI6 and GCHQ.

1:45pm – Live employer insight talk with Anastasia Klemaka, Power Operations and Optimisation from SEFE Marketing and Trading.

2:00pm – Live employer insight talk with Elisa Sai, Senior Director, Analytics & AI from Capgemini Invent. Elisa will share her experience on working as a leader in data, driving solutions for clients and will give her advice for new talent.

2.15pm – Live employer insight talk with Agnes Beviz, Junior Software Engineer, Lucy Chieffo, and Andrea Dale, Business Analyst from DVLA / DfT.

2:35pm – Live employer insight talk with Danielle Hamel and Emily Crowley from Technip Energies.

2:50pm – Live employer insight talk with Tom Lynch, Talent Acquisition Manager and Angela Green, HR Coordinator (Industrial Placement Lead) from Mercedes Petronas AMG F1. Industrial Placement and Graduate Opportunities at Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

3:05pm – Live employer insight talk with Ruchika Kogimtzis, Senior Project Manager, Waters.

3:20pm – Live employer insight talk with Amy Aspinall, Advanced Consultant at Kubrick. Amy will talk about her professional journey into data, how to enter the industry with no prior experience, and how to face challenges in new roles.

3:35pm – 4:30pm – Final networking break.

4:30pm – Event ends.
