Glasgow STEM Women Graduate Careers Events

We have held 5 in-person Careers Events in Glasgow since 2018.

We continue to host two events in Glasgow annually. Continue reading to find out more about our past events in Glasgow and what to expect at future events!

Our Glasgow Student Community

Our Glasgow Events have attracted 1,052 students and recent graduates in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Our events are targeted at women studying or recently graduated from a STEM degree at university that have the right to work in the UK and are looking for career opportunities in STEM, such as internships, placements, graduate schemes, and jobs.

Our attendees most commonly study for their degrees at:

• University of Glasgow
• Glasgow Caledonian University
• University of Strathclyde

Exhibitors

78 Employers have exhibited at one of our in-person Glasgow events since 2018. These employers attend our events to recruit early STEM talent and promote their internships, placements and graduate roles to our attendees, as well as increase brand awareness and broaden their early talent pipelines. Many of our Glasgow exhibitors return to year on year.

Our events allow women to discover new careers and many come away feeling inspired and informed after networking with employers and receiving valuable careers advice. Many of our attendees apply for and secure roles with our exhibitors. 

We also have many women that attend our events and return as a company representative the following year to pass on their advice and meet women looking to take a similar path. It’s an exciting cycle to watch young women inspire each other and take their place in  the next generation of talent.

Our In-Person Glasgow Events:

9th October 2025

On Thursday 9th October 2025, STEM Women returned to Glasgow for our Autumn event, welcoming 204 student and graduate attendees to meet 11 exhibiting companies amongst Glasgow’s top employers. 

The targeted attendees arrived at the event at 1pm, excited to meet employers and recruiters, expand their network, discover opportunities in STEM and related fields, such as computer science, data, business, engineering, IT, chemistry, maths, sustainability, and more. 

The careers fair ran until 4pm, giving employers plenty of time to showcase their brand, network with attendees and search for candidates for their roles. The event allowed attendees the ideal environment to discover opportunities that align with their interests and disciplines, as well as find new paths and businesses to consider for their career development.

26th June 2025

On 26th June 2025, STEM Women return to Glasgow for our first summer graduate careers event, offering an ideal space for recent graduates to connect with top employers in Glasgow to find internships, jobs and graduate schemes. The event also allows for students to discover placement opportunities and student internships in their STEM fields.

We welcomed 165 enthusiastic attendees to meet 14 top employers in Glasgow, all searching to diversify their talent pipelines with the next generation of women in STEM. Throughout the afternoon, connections and conversations were made. Employers who attend our events are passionate about inclusive hiring and were able to connect directly with diverse STEM talent.

17th October 2024

On Thursday 17th October, STEM Women hosted the Glasgow STEM Women Graduate Careers Event. The event attracted 21 exhibiting employers and 271 student and graduate attendees. 

Attendees were able to network with employers from a wide range of STEM-related industries in our expo space, discovering exciting opportunities and building their professional networks

Peer-to-peer networking was also taking place, with attendees meeting like minded students in the same position as themselves and forming professional relationships for the future.

20th October 2023

On Friday 20th October, STEM Women hosted the Glasgow STEM Women Graduate Careers Event, welcoming 260 students and graduates and 18 exhibiting employers. Running from 12-4pm, the event attracted attendees from Universities in Glasgow and Edinburgh, supported by a free coach. 

The event offered a warm, vibrant networking hub with employer and peer-to-peer networking, refreshments, and a popular new STEM Women selfie wall.

5th November 2018

In 2018, we hosted our first event in Glasgow, the Glasgow Community Event, where we hosted 137 attendees who arrived to meet 14 exhibiting employers. The event ran from 11:30am – 4:30 pm, providing plenty of time for students to network and discover career opportunities. 

2026 Events

We are set to run another two Glasgow events in 2026!  Employers and attendees will be able to sign-up via our website, and this blog will also be updated to show you the full details as they are announced.
