Our apprenticeship careers fair enables employers to have a company stand and meet hundreds of talented women studying in year 12 and 13 from schools and colleges in the West Midlands.

Companies can exhibit to promote all levels of apprenticeships, from entry level to higher and degree.

Setting up your stand

Exhibitors have a table, chairs and can display promotional materials, and can bring a banner to fit in a 3 metre wide space. Lunch is provided for all exhibitors.

Packages

Our Bronze Package enables you to bring up to 3 reps who will meet all the relevant attendees in person. You can upgrade to a Silver package to receive the academic and contact information for everyone who signed up for the event and consented to having their information shared. The Gold Package allows you to bring 5 reps and have a longer programme entry, and you will also be included in our post event email with a link to your chosen webpage. Each event has just one Headline Sponsor package, enabling you to maximise your exposure. Get in touch with our Sales team to find out more.

Students in years 12 and 13 from school in the West Midlands,  join us at this STEM careers event and connect with apprentice employers across STEM-related industries (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

You can also visit company stands to learn more about opportunities and listen to a welcome talk with networking tips from the STEM Women team. Don’t miss out on this exclusive and exciting opportunity…register today!

What to expect at a STEM Women event
Students, schools and colleges will arrive to the venue, enjoy a welcome talk from the STEM Women team including careers advice and networking tips. Students will also receive a programme with the exhibiting companies and their information. Exhibitors will have a company stand to display promotional materials and information. Students visit the stands during the morning, meet employers, ask questions about apprenticeships and learn about opportunities.

Our friendly team and student ambassadors will help you to check in when you arrive at the event. Make sure to arrive as close to your ticket time as possible to avoid having to queue. Have your QR code ready to be scanned!

Who Can Attend?

STEM Women events are perfect for school and college students in year 12 and 13 who identify as women who interested in exploring apprenticeships in STEM and related fields, and permanently eligible to work in the UK.

Networking

Attendees will meet employers from a broad range of different STEM-related industries such as science, technology, software, data and analytics, pharmaceuticals, energy, engineering, construction, consultancy and financial services. A programme detailing a full list of employers will be provided at the event.

By Bus or Train

IET Birmingham: Austin Court is located near the centre of Birmingham. Getting there couldn’t be easier with Birmingham’s direct public transport. If getting a train to Birmingham New Street Station, allow 15 – 20 minutes to walk from New Street Station.

The tram journey time is approximately 5 minutes from Grand Central station tram stop. Board the tram at the Grand Central Midland stop towards the Library stop. Exit the tram at International Convention Centre, Library Midland stop before walking around 5-minutes to IET Birmingham: Austin Court.

Can I bring anyone with me?

You are welcome to bring course mates, but please make sure they download their own ticket. Parents, partners, children, carers etc. are also welcome, but please notify us via email (sophiec@stemwomen.com).

All of our events are completely free of charge for attendees.
Do I need to bring anything?

You just need your Eventbrite ticket - you can have this printed out or just show us the QR code on your phone. You are welcome to bring copies of your CV if you like but this is not a requirement.
Do I need more than one ticket?

What is the dress code?

The dress code is up to you! Most of our attendees opt for smart casual attire.
Do the companies attending offer sponsorship?

The majority of exhibitors will not be able to provide sponsorship and will require applicants to be permanently eligible to work in the UK. We would not recommend attending this event if you are seeking sponsorship.
