What is a STEM Women Hybrid Event? (For exhibitors)

Apr 13, 2022 EventsResources 7 minutes read

In 2022, we will be running our first ever hybrid graduate careers events!

But what is a STEM Women Hybrid Event, how does it work and what packages are available?

Let’s take a look…

What is a STEM Women hybrid event?

Hybrid careers events combine elements from an in-person event and a virtual event. At a STEM Women hybrid event, all exhibiting employers will take part in the online part of the event and will have the additional option to also exhibit in-person at our chosen venue.

Attendees will be invited to attend the physical event if they are local to the venue, or the online event if they live further away, or it is not convenient for them. All attendees, even those in venue, will be able to log on to our virtual events platform during the event to browse company stalls, apply for jobs, and network online.

During the event day, we will run speaker sessions and a panel Q&A session live in our venue. This will be streamed live onto our virtual events platform, so all attendees will have the chance to watch the sessions.

Just like all STEM Women events, our hybrid events are targeted towards attendees who identify as women or non-binary and are studying or have just graduated from a STEM related subject at university.

How does the hybrid event work?

Exhibiting employers taking part in just the online part of the event will log into our platform, from any location, set up a virtual stall and network with attendees on the platform via webchat and video conversations. They will also be able to list their live roles, source for candidates using our ‘sourcing tool’, and book 1-1 video interviews with attendees.

Exhibitors taking part in both the online and in-person parts of the event will have all the advantages of our online platform, but they will also send a few representatives to our venue to set up their physical stall. Employers in the venue will be able to network with attendees face-to-face, give out branded goody bags and enjoy the atmosphere of an event day.

If employers would like to present a speaker session or sit on the panel, they will need to attend the physical part of the event. All presentations will take place live on stage in our venue, and will be streamed directly onto the platform, so attendees will be able to watch the sessions in-person and on their devices.

Where should our company representatives be based?

Employers taking part in just the online part of the event will have their representatives based anywhere with a good internet connection, and we assume most will log in at home or in the office.

Employers taking part in both the online and in-person parts of the event need to assign different reps for each part of the event. They will need representatives based at home or in the office, taking part online. Separately they will need representatives who visit the event venue. These reps will network in person and won’t need a device as they won’t be taking part in the online part of the event.

What packages are available?

Just like any other STEM Women event, we are offering a range of different package options for our hybrid events. Take a look below…

Basic Package – Online Only

This package is for companies who would only like to take part in the virtual part of the event. Companies on the basic package will set up an online stall, list a limited number of jobs, source and network with attendees via webchat and video call.

Premium Package – Online Only or Online and In-Person

Companies on the online only premium package will have all the benefits of the basic package, but they will also receive a password protected document containing the course information and contact details for students and graduates that have consented for their information to be shared with employers. They will also be able to list an unlimited number of jobs and have an unlimited number of representatives on their stall.

If companies choose to also attend the physical event, they will send an additional three representatives to the venue to set up a physical stall and network in-person.

Speaker Package – Online and In-Person

Our speaker package includes everything from the premium package, but employers will also be assigned a speaker slot to deliver a presentation in the venue. Plus, a representative will be invited to take part in a Q&A session, alongside speakers from other companies.

Sponsor Package – Online and In-Person

Our final package is the sponsor. An exhibitor on this package will receive all of the benefits of a speaker package, but will also be listed as the sponsor on all event marketing. They will also have the chance to address the entire event audience and introduce their company during the in-venue welcome talk. STEM Women will work closely with the event sponsor to ensure there are a high member of attendees that meet their specific requirements.
