Melbourne STEM Women Graduate Careers Events
We have organised 3 in-person Careers Events in Melbourne since 2023 and continue to run one or two events in Melbourne every year.
Talented attendees
1,458 women studying a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) degree at university have attended one of our in-person events in Melbourne. Most of our attendees have the right to work in Australia.
Our attendees are most commonly studying for their degrees at:
- Deakin University
- Monash University
- RMIT University
- Swinburne University of Technology
- University of Melbourne
Incredible exhibitors
100 graduate employers have exhibited with us at one of our in-person Melbourne events since 2023. These fantastic companies exhibited to promote their internships, placements, and graduate roles to our attendees. Many of our Melbourne exhibitors have returned year on year.
Some of the exhibitors who have joined us over the years include:

Melbourne is our Australian flagship event and was the location for our first ever STEM Women Graduate Careers Event in Australia! We are incredibly proud of the community we have built, the events we have held, and the women who have discovered careers in STEM through attending.
Countless women have discovered new careers at our events and many leave feeling inspired having chatted to employers at their stands. Crucially, many have since gone on to apply for and secure roles with our exhibitors.
We have met many women who attended our event as a student and then returned as a company representative the following year.
Tuesday 25th March 2025
At our most recent Melbourne event 424 attendees checked in to our March 2025 event, where they networked with 31 top graduate employers in Melbourne. The event was held in the Crown Conference Centre, an easily accessible and purpose built venue.
Employers arrived at 11:45am to enjoy an exhibitor lunch, before networking began at 1pm and ran until 4pm. We stagger our ticket waves, so employer stands stay busy throughout the afternoon.

“These events are important for our company as they connect us with a highly skilled and underrepresented demographic in STEM fields. This event is well-run and well worth the time to attend. We’ve successfully employed people who met us at an event and we’ve had many more who have applied for our competitive roles. Thanks for having us, see you in 2026!” – Lola North, Head of HR & OD, CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy (read more about their success at our events here)
Tuesday 12th March 2024

Tuesday 7th March 2023
On a sunny Tuesday afternoon in 2023, we ran our first ever Melbourne STEM Women Graduate Careers Event! We chose the State Library Victoria as our venue, a fitting venue for an event that saw 413 exceptional women studying STEM degrees turnout. They met with 27 fantastic gradaute employers from a range of industries including engineering, mining, life sciences, finance, technology, banking, consultancy, and many more!
You can see the queue to attend our first Melbourne event below:

Throughout the whole day, attendees could network with our exhibiting employers in the Conversation Quarter Hall, plus in our exhibitor rooms upstairs! These areas were filled with company banners, free goodies, leaflets and employers waiting to start discussions and offer advice to prospective candidates. There was a buzzing atmosphere throughout the event, with lots of attendees building their professional networks and picking up goodie bags. The networking spaces were full all the way up until the event ended at 4pm!

Virtual Events 2021 – 2025
In addition to our in-person events, we ran virtual events covering Australia 2021 – 2025. These events helped those who were limited in terms of travel (especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic) but they also helped us launch our brand in Australia back in 2021. Employers and attendees got a taste of a STEM Women Event before we launched in person in 2023.
We ran the following events covering Australia:
- Virtual Australia STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 13th March 2021
- Virtual Australia & New Zealand STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 10th March 2022
- Virtual Australia & New Zealand STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 9th March 2023
- Virtual Australia STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 5th August 2025
Hundreds of graduate employers met thousands of attendees at our virtual events, and we continued to run virtual events covering Australia annually until 2025.
