Perth STEM Women Graduate Careers Events

We have organised 3 in-person Careers Events in Perth since 2024 and continue to run one event in Perth every year.

Talented attendees

1,259 women studying a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) degree at university have attended one of our in-person events in Perth. Most of our attendees have the right to work in Australia.

Our attendees are most commonly studying for their degrees at:

• Curtin University
• University of Western Australia
• Edith Cowan University
• Murdock University

Incredible exhibitors

79 graduate employers have exhibited with us at one of our in-person Perth events since 2024. These fantastic companies exhibited to promote their internships, placements, and graduate roles to our attendees. Many of our Perth exhibitors have returned year on year.

4th March 2026

On 4th March 2026, STEM Women welcomed 341 attendees and 22 exhibitors for the first event of our 2026 Australia Roadshow, the Perth STEM Women Student & Graduate Careers Event sponsored by IMDEX.

Employers arrived at 11:45am to enjoy an exhibitor lunch, before networking began at 1pm and ran until 4pm. Students from universities across Western Australia attended to explore career opportunities across engineering, technology, science and data-focused industries. Throughout the event, exhibitors connected with enthusiastic students keen to learn more about graduate pathways, internship programmes and the skills employers look for in early-career STEM professionals.

17th March 2025

We welcomed 464 attendees to meet 32 exhibitors to our March 2025 event. Held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event was the ideal environment for connecting students and graduates with STEM employers and was bursting with opportunity! Attendees engaged with industry leaders, participated in insightful discussions, and discovered pathways to exciting careers in STEM.​

This event saw strong engagement from students eager to expand their professional networks and gain insight into industry careers. Employers had the opportunity to speak directly with motivated students, offering guidance on applications, career development and the skills that help candidates stand out in competitive graduate recruitment processes.

20th March 2024

On March 20th 2024, we welcomed 454 attendees to our Perth STEM Women Student & Graduate Careers Event to meet 25 exhibiting employers. This event was our  first ever event in Perth, and we were so excited to begin building both our employer and student networks in Western Australia.

The impressive engagement for this event highlighted the appeal of STEM Women’s initiatives and the growing demand for opportunities to promote inclusivity and diversity in STEM industries. The employers gathered to showcase their brands and offer early career opportunities such as internships, graduate schemes, placements and jobs to the next generation of female STEM talent in Perth.

Virtual Events 2021 – 2025

In addition to our in-person events, we ran virtual events covering Australia 2021 – 2025. These events helped those who were limited in terms of travel (especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic) but they also helped us launch our brand in Australia back in 2021. Employers and attendees got a taste of a STEM Women Event before we launched in person in 2023.

We ran the following events covering Australia:

• Virtual Australia STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 13th March 2021
• Virtual Australia & New Zealand STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 10th March 2022
• Virtual Australia & New Zealand STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 9th March 2023
• Virtual Australia STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 5th August 2025

Hundreds of graduate employers met thousands of attendees at our virtual events, and we continued to run virtual events covering Australia annually until 2025.

AAGE Membership

We are proud members of the AAGE and have attended the conference each year since our Events & Marketing Director Sophie Chadwick attended back in 2022. Over the years we have sponsored various elements of the conference, including being Gala Dinner sponsor twice!

Our most recent attendance was in 2025 where two members of our Sales Team, Aldana Zenker & Polly Mewis, attended in Brisbane!

We will be back at the AAGE Conference in 2026.
