The STEM Women team have rounded off an incredible roadshow across Australia, where we hosted four inspiring events to empower female students and graduates in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The events were held in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Brisbane. These fantastic careers fairs connected 2,169 attendees to 138 exhibitors!

Check out the highlights below.

Over Two Thousand Attendees

The breakdown of attendees and exhibitors reflects the widespread impact of the Australian roadshow:

  • Melbourne: 606 attendees and 42 exhibitors
  • Sydney: 676 attendees and 44 exhibitors
  • Perth: 450 attendees and 25 exhibitors
  • Brisbane: 437 attendees and 27 exhibitors

The locations included two new additions – Perth and Brisbane. The impressive engagement across all four events  highlights the appeal of STEM Women’s initiatives and the growing demand for opportunities to promote inclusivity and diversity in STEM.

Speaker Sessions and Exhibitor Networking

The events were proudly sponsored by industry leaders including DTP Victoria, Prysmian, and Austal.

At the heart of each event were inspiring speaker sessions and vibrant exhibitor networking opportunities. Leading companies such as AG Coombs, Jane Street, Kapitol Group, AEMO, Optiver , AngloGold Ashanti, Westgold, BAT, Aurizon, BMD and Senex Energy, and many more participated in speaker sessions, sharing valuable insights and experiences with the eager audience.

Celebrating Success

Reflecting on the roadshow, CEO Stephen Rooney said:

“Our Australian Events have been a huge success. It’s been fantastic to see that the majority of companies who exhibited at our Melbourne and Sydney events in 2023 returned to exhibit again. They were joined by many new clients, with the Melbourne and Sydney events growing from 46 exhibitors in 2023 to 86 in 2024! We also welcomed a considerable increase in attendees.

Our first ever events in Perth and Brisbane were also really impactful, and we will be adding Adelaide to the list of locations for 2025. It was great to see so much support from our Australian STEM Women community, and our team had a great time visiting some amazing cities!”
