Our careers fair enables graduate employers to have a company stand and meet hundreds of talented women studying STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) degrees at universities in Bristol.

Companies can exhibit to promote graduate roles, internships and placements.

Targeting students who identify as women.
Predicted 250 student and recent graduate attendees.
Perfect for women who are studying, or recently graduated from, a STEM related course at university and who are permanently eligible to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.
Marketed to university students in the South West of England including University of Bristol, University of Bath and University of the West of England.
Employers each have a company stall. They can display merch and promote their graduate roles, internships and placements to the attendees.

35% Computer Science, Data, Maths or related, 25% Engineering related, 12% Business and Finance, 15% Earth/Life Sciences, 13% Physical Sciences or Other.

Setting up your stand

Exhibitors have a table, chairs and can display promotional materials, and can bring a banner to fit in a 3 metre wide space. Lunch is provided for all exhibitors.

Packages

Our Bronze Package enables you to bring up to 3 reps who will meet all the relevant attendees in person. You can upgrade to a Silver package to receive the academic and contact information for everyone who signed up for the event and consented to having their information shared. The Gold Package allows you to bring 5 reps and have a longer programme entry, and you will also be included in our post event email with a link to your chosen webpage. Bristol STEM Women Graduate Careers Event, June 2025

In 2025 we ran a Bristol event in the summer for the first time. The view from the roof of WeTheCurious across a sunny Bristol day was incredible, and the exhibitor stands were busy throughout the afternoon!

At this event, 121 targeted local women studying STEM degrees in Bristol and looking for roles, joined us for the afternoon. They met with 8 employers and created even more incredible connections, in turn applying for graduate roles across Bristol.

Birmingham STEM Women Graduate Careers Event, February 2024

Exhibitors and targeted attendees spent an afternoon connecting face to face as a record 209 talented attendees joined us, networking with 22 employers across the afternoon.

Bristol is a firm favourite location for many of our team, we are especially proud to introduce so many women studying engineering to fantastic local companies.

Our friendly team and student ambassadors will help you to check in when you arrive at the event. Make sure to arrive as close to your ticket time as possible to avoid having to queue. Have your QR code ready to be scanned!

Who Can Attend?

STEM Women events are perfect for people who are studying, or recently graduated from, a STEM related course at university and are considering different career opportunities. Our events are aimed at students and graduates who are permanently eligible to work in the UK and who are women or non-binary.

Networking

Attendees will meet employers from a broad range of different STEM-related industries such as science, technology, software, data and analytics, pharmaceuticals, energy, engineering, construction, consultancy and financial services. A programme detailing a full list of employers will be provided at the event.

Travel to the venue

By car

Drive towards The Centre, follow signs for City Centre/Corn Street, then turn onto Corn Street (limited vehicle access at times). Use nearby car parks like Queen Charlotte Street or The Galleries, then walk 2–5 minutes to the hotel.

By Bus or Train

By bus:

From central stops (like The Centre or Wine Street), catch any local bus (e.g., routes 1, 2, 8, 24, 39, X39, 46, 71) and get off at Wine Street or The Centre — it’s a short 3–5 min walk to the hotel

By train + walk/bus:

From Bristol Temple Meads, take a bus (e.g., 71 to Wine Street) then walk ~3 min.

Can I bring anyone with me?

You are welcome to bring course mates, but please make sure they download their own ticket. Parents, partners, children, carers etc. are also welcome, but please notify us via email (sophiec@stemwomen.com).

Is it free?

All of our events are completely free of charge for attendees.

Do I need to bring anything?

You just need your Eventbrite ticket - you can have this printed out or just show us the QR code on your phone. You are welcome to bring copies of your CV if you like but this is not a requirement.

Do I need more than one ticket?

Please only request one ticket. Your ticket will be valid from the start time until the end of the event. For example a noon ticket will be eligible from noon - event end. A 1pm ticket will be eligible from 1pm - event end. Drop us an email if you have any questions!

What is the dress code?

The dress code is up to you! Most of our attendees opt for smart casual attire.

Do the companies attending offer sponsorship?

The majority of exhibitors will not be able to provide sponsorship and will require applicants to be permanently eligible to work in the UK. We would not recommend attending this event if you are seeking sponsorship.

You will be given a brochure on the event day with all of the companies listed with a short bio!
