STEM Women Event Support Staff – Autumn 2024

Are you planning to attend a STEM Women event this Autumn? Would you like to join the STEM Women team for the day to help run the event? We’re looking for event support staff to help at our upcoming Autumn events in the following locations:

 

  • Edinburgh, Tuesday 1st October
  • London Wednesday 9th October
  • Manchester, Wednesday 16th October
  • Glasgow, Thursday 17th October
  • Amsterdam, Monday 21st October
  • Birmingham, Wednesday 23rd October
  • Newcastle, Tuesday 29th October
  • Leeds, Wednesday 30th October
  • Dublin, Tuesday 5th November
  • Bristol, Wednesday 6th November
  • London, Wednesday 13th November

 

What to expect

You’ll join our team for 2-3 hours on the event day, with duties to include queue management, check-in and registration support, greeting student attendees and signposting them to the right area.

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Any current university student or recent graduate who is already registered to attend the event on a late ticket. You’ll still be able to attend the event once your shift has finished.
  • A friendly, welcoming and positive attitude, with good communication skills. Event experience is a bonus but not essential, as you will be fully briefed on the day.
  • Right to work in the UK

 

Key information:

  • When and where: You must be available on the event date of the location you wish to work at. Timings will be confirmed but are likely to be ~11am – 2pm.
  • Your expenses will be covered:  equivalent to payment at living wage (up to a maximum of 3 hours). 
  • Accessibility requirements: Please note that due to the nature of the event, support staff may be standing for extended periods of time, including directing attendees whilst outside the venue.
