Take part in an Online STEM Women Careers Event! We will be running a number of STEM careers events in 2022, covering the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Our events will be a mix of general STEM careers events and sector-specific events for attendees interested in careers in technology, financial services, or engineering.
You can see all of our upcoming events and register for a place here.
Supporting STEM Women
Since 2018, we have held 43 inspiring face-to-face and virtual events, introducing over 20,000 attendees to 303 exhibiting graduate employers across the UK, Ireland, Europe and Australia. The events have always been free to attend, and we have provided the attendees with opportunities to network with employers and hear inspirational speakers. We are proud that our events have led to hundreds of students finding internships, work placements and being offered permanent graduate jobs.
How events will work “online”
Our 2021 events have moved online in response to Covid-19, but we will be offering a similar event experience. You can visit company stands, initiate a web chat with employers, and hear inspiring speakers (live and on-demand). In addition to this, you will also be able to see job specifications, apply for jobs during the event, and employers can read your bio and reach out to you with relevant roles.
How to apply for an event
You can register as a user on the STEM Women Events platform and then register your interest in any of our upcoming events. By registering as a user, you will also create a profile/bio that can be seen by employers on an event day. You can then just select the events that are of interest, and return to our website on the event day to take part! The online events will work well on any laptop or mobile device, but it may be easier to navigate the platform from a laptop.
Who are the graduate careers fairs aimed at?
Our graduate careers events are aimed at current final and penultimate year university students who are studying a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) related course. The events are aimed at individuals who identify as female, but are open to all regardless of gender. Our regional events attract employers from different industries, and we run sector specific “Technology” and “Financial Services” events for students targeting these sectors.
