A hybrid UK STEM careers event with networking and presentations taking place in London and online. It is targeted towards people who are studying, or recently graduated from, a STEM related course at university and are considering different career opportunities.

  • Targeting students who identify as female and non-binary, but open to all regardless of gender.
  • Predicted 1,400 student sign-ups and over 30 exhibiting employers.

  • Marketed to university students across the UK. In-person attendees will be predominantly based in and around London, virtual attendees will be based UK wide.
  • Employers can list jobs, deliver talks and engage with students via webchat/video.
Overview

Students and employers, join us at this Hybrid STEM Careers Event either online, in-person or both!

There will be opportunities for networking in-person and online throughout the day. Exhibiting employers will promote their graduate roles and opportunities on our event platform, and there will be a number of speaker sessions and a panel Q&A session live in our venue, which will be streamed onto our virtual events platform for attendees watching at home.

Students living in and around London who prefer an in-person event are encouraged to visit the event venue. Students based elsewhere in the UK, or those that prefer online events, are encouraged to take part online.

Noon

Event begins with a welcome talk from STEM Women, a selection of employer insight talks and a Q&A session. These will be streamed directly from the event venue and shown live on our event platform!

12:15 pm

Online networking begins and continues until the event ends. Attendees can visit company stands, network with employers and search live jobs! They can also watch the first speaker sessions in the “Live Presentations” area.

1:30 pm

First speaker session ends in the “Live Presentations” area, students can continue networking online

2:00 - 3:30 pm

Second speaker session starts. Students can continue networking online or watch the second speaker session in the “Live Presentations” area.

4:30 pm

Event end.

Employers arrive at the venue and set up their stalls. 

11:45 am

Students arrive at the venue and check in at the reception desk. 

Noon - 1.30 pm

Event begins with a welcome talk from STEM Women, and a series of employer talks during the first speaker session.

2:00 - 3:30 pm

Second set of employer speaker sessions. Students can continue networking in the main hall or watch employer talks. 

4:30 pm

Event end.

Networking from 12:15 – 4:30 pm

Network live with our exhibitors at their stalls any time from 12:15pm onwards until the end of the event. Browse stalls, chat with company reps and apply for jobs and internships on our platform.

How do our hybrid events work?

Hybrid careers events combine elements from an in-person event and a virtual event. At a STEM Women hybrid event, all exhibiting employers will take part in the online part of the event and will have the additional option to also exhibit in-person at our chosen venue. Attendees will be invited to attend the physical event if they are local to the venue, or the online event if they live further away, or it is not convenient for them. All attendees, even those in venue, will be able to log on to our virtual events platform during the event to browse company stalls, apply for jobs, and network online. During the event day, we will run speaker sessions and a panel Q&A session live in our venue. This will be streamed live onto our virtual events platform, so all attendees will have the chance to watch the sessions.
