Diversity and Equal Opportunities
We work hard to understand the communities we serve by being active in social mobility, and promoting inclusivity. All of our events are completely free to attendees, and we run coaches for our physical events, allowing students to travel to our venues for free. These coaches will usually run from universities campuses, or from neighbouring cities, to help more students have access to our careers events and opportunities. We also support and promote diverse external speakers by paying them to present at our events.
Our staff are always encouraged to be constantly learning about diversity and inclusion by reading articles and reports, listening to talks and watching speakers at our STEM Women events. We are passionate about addressing the gender imbalance in STEM, and so commit time to producing a free whitepaper report. This report uses data from our women in STEM communities, to help employers learn more about how to attract more women into STEM roles. We are also members of the ISE and AAGE bodies, who are both committed to a diverse and equal workforce. Finally, we are looking to take part in a number of training courses around unconscious bias and inclusivity to further develop our standings as an authority in equal opportunities.
