We have organised 2 in-person Careers Events in Adelaide since 2025 and continue to run one event in Adelaide every year.

Talented attendees

441 women studying a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) degree at university have attended one of our in-person events in Adelaide. Most of our attendees have the right to work in Australia.

Our attendees are most commonly studying for their degrees at:

• University of Adelaide
• University of South Australia
• Flinders University

20th March 2026

On 20th March 2026, STEM Women welcomed 157 attendees and 10 exhibitors to the Adelaide Convention Centre for the Adelaide STEM Women Student and Graduate Careers Event sponsored by JBS, our second ever event in Adelaide and the penultimate stop on the STEM Women Australia 2026 Roadshow.

Students from universities across South Australia attended the event to explore opportunities within STEM industries and speak directly with employers about internships and graduate roles.

Throughout the afternoon, meaningful conversations took place around career pathways, industry trends and the exciting possibilities available to students graduating with STEM degrees.

2nd April 2025

The STEM Women Australia 2025 Roadshow concluded on April 2nd in Adelaide, marking the first-ever STEM Women event in the city. Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the event welcomed 296 attendees and 14 exhibitors. Employers and company representatives engaged with the local talent pool, offering insights and opportunities such as graduate schemes, placements and internships in diverse STEM fields.

The event was well received by exhibitors and attendees and was a testament to the growing influence and impact of women in STEM across Australia, with our free events we will continue to empower and provide opportunity for the next generation of STEM Women​. We look forward to return!

Virtual Events 2021 – 2025

In addition to our in-person events, we ran virtual events covering Australia 2021 – 2025. These events helped those who were limited in terms of travel (especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic) but they also helped us launch our brand in Australia back in 2021. Employers and attendees got a taste of a STEM Women Event before we launched in person in 2023.

We ran the following events covering Australia:

• Virtual Australia STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 13th March 2021
• Virtual Australia & New Zealand STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 10th March 2022
• Virtual Australia & New Zealand STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 9th March 2023
• Virtual Australia STEM Women Graduate Careers Event – 5th August 2025

Hundreds of graduate employers met thousands of attendees at our virtual events, and we continued to run virtual events covering Australia annually until 2025.

AAGE Membership

We are proud members of the AAGE and have attended the conference each year since our Events & Marketing Director Sophie Chadwick attended back in 2022. Over the years we have sponsored various elements of the conference, including being Gala Dinner sponsor twice!

Our most recent attendance was in 2025 where two members of our Sales Team, Aldana Zenker & Polly Mewis, attended in Brisbane!

We will be back at the AAGE Conference in 2026.
