Field Service Engineer – North England

Our team of talented Service Engineers is growing! If you have experience in troubleshooting, field repair, or providing technical support on Electrical and Mechanical systems and equipment, we’d love to speak with you.
As a Service Engineer at Smiths Detection, you will have good electronic repair troubleshooting methodology and will have solid communication skills, both oral and written. You will have the ability to read and follow electrical/mechanical schematics to assist in isolating faults to root cause component/assembly.
You will be working with Explosive Detection Systems (EDS), Conventional X-Ray Systems (CXS), or Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) equipment, specific training will be provided.
This role is Monday to Friday and you will be part of an “on-call” shifts in rotation with the rest of the team every 4 or 6 weeks. The contract will include a car also for personal use.
