American express careers: graduate

If you are looking for a graduate role within American Express, you won't be surprised to find that it's a competitive scheme to get onto. The financial behemoth has been voted one of the best places to work in the UK in 2018, by employment website Glassdoor, and it has also been awarded ‘Top Undergraduate Employers’ by Rate My Placement in 2018.

If you are an undergraduate or student: there is a four-step application process which can be accessed from their website. All you need to do is fill out the online application, take the psychometric tests, and, if you get through this first stage, there is then a video interview. If you progress onto the next stage, you will be asked to attend an assessment centre. Of course, depending on the job you are applying for, the process may differ.

For MBA or masters students, you will need to fill out the online application. If you are successful at this first stage, you will be asked to attend the first round of interviews, potentially followed by a final round of interviews. Currently, MBA students can apply for opportunities in consulting, human resources, finance, marketing and risk and governance.
